Mille-fleurs

I love vintage liberty fabric. I indulge myself occasionally and buy scraps for it from market stalls and e-bay. I love the colours of the pink, purple, yellow and white. They shouldn’t work, but somehow they do. I love the design and the patterning. They inspired me to crochet my very own Mille-fleurs!

Not too sure what I am going to do with them. But I had great fun making them. So quick! Each one took no more the five minutes from start to finish. They use such little yarn, making them perfect for using up your stash ends. Those bits that are no use for anything other than daring (like I every get round to that) but the colour work so well together, or the texture is so indulgent, that you simply do not want to waste them.

Lazy daisy The grass is looking a lot greener now that we have had some rain. Daises are beginning to appear everywhere: all over the banks of the City Walls, the ramparts of Clifford's Tower and through the parks (or at least where the geese haven't eaten them). So simple, so elegant....
